Exciting Opportunity: Carer Locality Worker working across Bradford West

Carers’ Resource is a well-established Yorkshire charity that provides tailored information and support to carers, and the professionals who support them. We empower individuals to maintain their independence and make choices that improve their lives.

We are excited to announce a new opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of carers. We are currently seeking a:

Carer Locality Worker

Hours:            37 hours per week covering Bradford West (can consider part-time/job share)

Base:              Shipley office with occasional opportunities to work from home

Salary:            £24,437 – £26,802 (FTE)

Role Overview: as a Carer Locality Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting unpaid carers through listening, advising, and advocating for them. You’ll conduct wellbeing reviews, needs assessments, identify and carry out required actions, and collaborate with local services. Your work aligns with local safeguarding procedures, promoting wellbeing and positive change for carers.

You must own transport, clean driving license, and business class insurance is a requirement of the role.

Friday and Wednesday are core working days.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with carers and an understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Previous experience providing individual and group support to adults.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with carers on a personal level and collaborate as a team member.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and demands of the role.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of carers.
  • Competent user of IT, email, Microsoft Office, CRM databases.
  • Able to travel around Bradford district and around other Carers’ Resource offices.
