Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Peterborough on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, at £27,983.00 per annum (£14.35 per hour). The shift pattern includes mornings, evenings and weekends on a two-week rota.
A BSL Level 2 qualification is essential for this role, as is a full UK driving licence.

What you'll be doing
- Supervising a team of support workers, including carrying out regular supervision sessions and appraisals
- Coaching and guiding staff to maintain the highest standards of support
- Supporting rota management and the day-to-day running of the service alongside the Manager
- Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
- Supporting the people we support to take part in meaningful activities and access their communities
- Contributing to person-centred plans and guidelines, working alongside families and other professionals
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld
Who we're looking for
- Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a similar setting
- Experience of conducting supervisions and supporting with rota management
- A positive, person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to empowering the people we support
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
- BSL Level 2 is essential for this role
