Job Title: Care & Support Colleague – Night Shifts
Location: James Page House. Parkhaven Trust, Deyes Lane, Maghull, Merseyside, L31 6DJ
Hours of work: 24 hours per week
Shifts: 12 hours shift over 2 nights, worked on a rolling rota basis including some weekends.
Pay Scale: £13.65 an hour

About James Page House
James Page House is a nursing care home supporting older adults and individuals with complex health needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, and those requiring nursing, palliative, or end-of-life care. Our team provides compassionate, person-centred support 24 hours a day, helping residents maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

About the Role
As a Care and Support Colleague, you will work as part of a dedicated team to provide high-quality care and support tailored to each resident’s individual needs, promoting independence, wellbeing, and choice in a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support People we care for with mobility and other physical disabilities.
  • Assist with safe moving and handling, including some heavy lifting, in accordance with training and health and safety guidelines.
  • Promote the well-being and general health of People we care for.
  • Help to create a person-centred care environment where each individual feels secure and valued.
  • Act as a key worker and advocate, ensuring that Peoples needs are met.
  • Attend meetings as required by the manager.
  • Understand the needs of older and younger people living with disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with families, and colleagues to promote understanding and trust.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, while encouraging social interaction and engagement.
  • Contribute to a positive, caring atmosphere where kindness, patience, and empathy are at the heart of everything you do.

About You

  • Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the People we care for and colleauges.
  • Have previous care experience (desirable but not essential).
