Are you organised, proactive and passionate about helping services run smoothly? Do you have experience in care, administration or service co-ordination and want to develop your career in an operational role?

We are looking for a Care Service Co-ordinator to provide operational and administrative support across our Care Service, helping us continue to deliver safe, effective and person-centred support.

About Caring Together Charity

For over 40 years, Caring Together Charity has been supporting families who are living with an illness or disability.

Our vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone. Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our lives, and we are here to provide emotional and practical support and advice to unpaid carers of all ages and their families.

About the role

Working closely with our Head of Care and Care Team Managers, you will play an important part in the day-to-day running of our Care service.

No two days will be the same. You could be responding to telephone and email enquiries, co-ordinating administrative tasks, gathering feedback, preparing reports, supporting audits and quality improvement work or delivering elements of training and induction.

You will also provide administrative and operational cover for Care Team Managers during periods of absence, helping to maintain continuity across the service.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their skills, gain experience across operational management and make a positive difference to the people we support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Head of Care and Care Team Managers.
  • Act as a first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.
  • Co-ordinate administrative tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide operational and administrative cover during periods of manager absence.
  • Gather, analyse and report service information, including performance data, audits, surveys and feedback.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and documents for meetings and contractual reporting.
  • Deliver elements of induction, refresher training and other learning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support operational projects and service developments.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in an administrative role.
  • Has good IT skills and experience using laptops and organisational systems.
  • Can work independently, use their initiative and solve problems.
  • Is confident managing different tasks and competing priorities.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Builds positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Can engage effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Understands the importance of working within care legislation and regulatory standards.
  • Has a friendly, constructive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Is committed to continuous improvement.
  • Is willing to travel across our region when required.

Experience of working within a homecare setting would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

What you can expect

As part of our team, you will receive:

  • Flexible working options.
  • 33 days’ annual leave, inclusive of bank holiday entitlement and pro rata for part-time employees.
  • The option to buy or sell up to five days’ annual leave, subject to eligibility.
  • Ongoing paid training and development opportunities.
  • Access to funded apprenticeships and qualifications.
  • A company pension scheme.
  • Paid carer’s leave.
  • Access to our wellbeing programme.
  • Access to a 24/7 GP, Employee Assistance Programme and confidential counselling service.
  • Death-in-service benefit of three times your annual salary.
  • A staff referral scheme offering payments of up to £500.
  • The opportunity to make a positive difference to unpaid carers and people living with an illness or disability across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk.

If you are looking for a varied role where your organisation, initiative and care experience can help vital services run effectively, we would love to hear from you. Apply today.
