The South West Heritage Trust (SWHT) invites proposals from experienced Conservation Architect-Led Design Team consultants with a strong track record in working on major National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) projects to lead, manage and contract administer the delivery of capital works at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton (RIBA stages 4-7).
The work is part of the Trust’s Chew Valley Hoard project, which will create a new gallery at the Museum of Somerset for the permanent display of the Chew Valley Hoard and deliver an ambitious two-year public programme that will engage audiences in innovative and diverse ways, develop skills and improve organisational sustainability.
The brief is to take the RIBA Stage 3 designs that have already been approved into detailed technical design and construction. Listed Building Consent for these designs has been granted and there are no conditions to be discharged.
