Cafe Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at Kenward Place as Café Manager 

The Café at Kenward Place situated at Kenward Trust is recruiting for a Manager. We are looking for an experienced professional person who can nurture a family friendly environment, who are financially responsible and can work proactively with the Kenward Events and Activities team.

The café will be open Wednesday to Sundays 11am – 3pm.

Job share will be considered as weekend working is a key part of the role. We are looking for one or two candidates who can manage the café and a small team of staff and volunteers.

Hours of work will be 9.30am to 3.30pm, totalling 30 hours a week.

Kenward Trust is based at Yalding and Kenward Place is the public-facing arm of the Trust with the café, conference facilities, and activities such as alpaca walking, archery and disc golf.

All of this is situated in 15 acres of beautiful grounds in the most beautiful part of Kent, overlooking the river Medway.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the food provision ensuring full compliance with obligatory legal undertakings and required standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, health and safety are maintained to the highest level. They will be required to maintain records according to agreed systems, policies and procedures. They will report to the CEO and work alongside the Kenward Place team.

We are looking for applicants who can evidence a previous catering supervisory role plus experience in customer service in front of house or Cafe and preferably be barista trained.  

Starting salary depending on experience of £22,400 for 30 hours per week.
