At Northbourne Court, our Café & Bar Assistants play an important part in creating a welcoming and social environment for our residents, their families, and visitors. Our café is at the heart of the home—a place where people come together to enjoy a hot drink, a light snack, and friendly conversation.
Whether you're preparing coffees, serving refreshments, or simply taking the time to brighten someone's day with a smile, you'll help create meaningful moments that make a real difference.
No experience? No problem! We'll provide full training and support to help you succeed in your role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, light meals, and snacks
- Providing a friendly, welcoming service to residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues
- Keeping the café and bar area clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- Handling payments and operating the till
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Helping create a warm, relaxed, and sociable atmosphere within the home
- Supporting special events and activities held in the café
About You
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
- A great team player with good communication skills
- Comfortable working in a busy café environment
- Previous café, bar, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
- Passionate about providing excellent service and enhancing residents' daily lives
