About St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth
St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth provides specialist end‑of‑life care, supporting patients and families with compassion, dignity and respect. We are committed to continually improving how we work so that our people can focus on what matters most — delivering outstanding care and support to our community.
As part of this commitment, we are investing in modern ways of working, strong governance and effective digital systems that support our senior leaders and Trustees to operate at their best.
The Role
We are seeking a Business and Digital Productivity Specialist to join us on a 12‑month fixed‑term, part‑time basis (22.5 hours per week) to lead a focused programme of improvement across digital productivity and governance systems.
This is a senior, specialist role with organisational impact rather than task‑based delivery. You will lead the design, implementation and embedding of Microsoft 365, Teams and Copilot‑enabled ways of working, strengthening governance assurance, decision‑making, information quality and follow‑through across our Executive Team, Board of Trustees and senior leadership forums.
Working with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement, you will provide expert advice, practical solutions and change leadership, ensuring improvements are sustainable, compliant and aligned to St Luke’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and optimisation of digital productivity systems using Microsoft 365 as an integrated ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Planner, Copilot and related tools).
Own and continuously improve governance operating models for Board, SMT and trustee sub‑committees, including agendas, papers, action tracking, decision logs and document repositories.
Design and embed systems that support assurance, transparency, audit readiness and statutory responsibilities.
Lead and support change at pace, moving senior leaders from manual or inconsistent practices to clear, standardised and sustainable ways of working.
Design and deliver targeted training, coaching, templates and digital guidance to build capability and confidence.
Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, ensuring compliance with GDPR and information governance requirements.
About You
You will bring significant experience of leading digital productivity, governance or operational improvements at senior or executive level, with the credibility to influence Trustees and Executive Directors.
Essential requirements include:
Proven experience designing and embedding Microsoft 365‑enabled ways of working in senior or regulated environments.
Experience supporting Boards, Trustees or senior leadership teams.
Strong understanding of governance, confidentiality, information governance and risk management.
Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to explain complex digital concepts clearly and practically.
Confidence, professionalism and sound judgement when handling sensitive matters.
You will be proactive, solutions‑focused and motivated by making a meaningful organisational impact, with a commitment to continuous improvement and modern ways of working.
Why Join St Luke’s?
Opportunity to shape how our most senior leaders and Trustees work, collaborate and make decisions.
A role with real organisational influence and visibility.
Supportive, values‑driven environment focused on care, compassion and excellence.
Commitment to learning, development and innovation.
