BUSINESS SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Edinburgh University Students' Association  is looking to recruit a  Business Support Assistant to join our Finance & Business Reporting team.

Edinburgh University Students’ Association is an award-winning organisation, which exists to provide diverse services, representation, and welfare support to the community of over 49,500 students at the University of Edinburgh. By providing opportunities, helping to create change and offering support, we're here to help students get the most out of their time in Edinburgh. We have five venues around the University of Edinburgh campus – Teviot, King’s Buildings House, Potterrow, the Pleasance and Edinburgh College of Art’s Wee Red Bar – which house our offices, cafés, bars, clubs, spaces for students to meet, study and socialise. These spaces transform into some of the most well loved Edinburgh Festival Fringe venues throughout the month of August each year.

This role will involve daily collection of paperwork from operational outlets, liaising with outlets on any delivery issues, then processing invoices to ensure we capture all stock deliveries for monthly accounts.

Salary: £13.95 per hour, plus a generous benefits package:

Hours & Pattern: 

  • July: 20 hours per week expected
  • August: 30 hours per week expected
  • September: 20 hours per week expected

Contract: Zero Hours, Fixed Term: 20 th July - 11th September 2026

Work Location: In-person

The Role:

To support the commercial departments in the ordering process, centrally overseeing orders placed are accurately processed in stock systems to ensure accurate month end accounting.

The Person:

An enthusiastic, numerate, confident and competent individual with demonstrable experience of purchasing and stock control, ideally with a good knowledge of EPOS systems and management.

A person with very high expectations of themselves and others, with a passion for detail and the ability to maintain delivery at a consistently high standard.
