Business Operations Support

Location: Cambridge, Oxford or London (office‑based with some hybrid working depending on business needs)

Salary: £26,500 per annum

Contract: Full‑time, permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and versatile Business Operations Support professional to join our team. This is a varied, fast‑paced role providing essential day‑to‑day support across key operational functions. You will help maintain smooth business operations and support multiple teams with administrative, operational and organisational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Finance administration support

– Assist with invoicing, credit control and associated finance administrative tasks

– Maintain client records

Tendering & Proposal Support

– Assist with preparing, formatting and submitting tenders

– Help track tender outcomes and monitor related performance information

IT, Equipment & Scheduling Support

– Provide administrative support for IT‑related tasks

– Assist with equipment management and operational timetabling

– Support logistical coordination across operational teams

Health & Safety Administration

– Assist with maintaining health & safety documentation, scheduling and compliance administrative tasks

General Administrative Support

– Provide general business administration across multiple teams

– Provide holiday and absence cover to ensure continuity across core functions

– Support office management and day‑to‑day operational duties

– Managing and replenishing office consumables and stationery.

– Dealing with queries via email and phone (office dependent)

– General office management

Additional Support Areas

Depending on business needs, you may also support:

– Marketing administration

– Compliance tasks including PQQs and accreditation documentation

– Quality management administration

– Training administration and scheduling

Person Specification

Essential:

– Strong organisational and multitasking skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

– High attention to detail

– Ability to work independently and proactively

– Comfortable supporting multiple teams and switching between varied tasks

– Good IT literacy and willingness to learn new systems

– Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

– Experience in operations, administration or business support

– Familiarity with tender support, invoicing or compliance processes

– Marketing or communications administration experience

– Experience with SharePoint or similar platforms
