Location – Kendal area / limited remote working
Salary: £36,000–£38,700 FTE (£28,800 - £30,960 pro rata)
0.8 FTE – 30 hours per week

We are a small, ambitious charity empowering visually impaired adults through adventurous activities including hiking, climbing, tandem cycling, caving, canoeing and open water swimming, delivered mainly through residential weekends.
We are seeking a Business Operations Lead to help ensure our organisation runs smoothly, sustainably and compliantly, enabling our team to deliver life-changing experiences safely and effectively.
This varied, hands-on role works closely with Trustees and oversees:
Financial management (budgeting, cash flow, payroll and reporting)
Governance, compliance and risk management
Operational systems (bookings, invoices and communication with clients)
HR administration and admin team management
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in financial management and budgeting
Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
Understands governance, compliance and risk management
Can work independently in a small, collaborative team
Shares our commitment to inclusion and empowering visually impaired adults
Experience in the charity sector, safeguarding, health & safety, or outdoor/residential programmes would be welcome but is not essential.
