Overview
Leeds Beckett Students’ Union is seeking an outcomes focussed Business Development Manager to lead the operations of the Business Development department and its’ team of part-time staff, including Venue and Events Reps, and Business Development Assistants.
You will take ownership of our income generation operations – ensuring we meet targets around media sales, venue hire and live events among other areas of work. You will also support student groups in elements of their work such as sponsorships and end of year balls.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the customer and client journey for our wide range of income generation opportunities is the best that it can be, and ensure that we are competing in an exciting and challenging market.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with professional experience in advertising, sales, retail, merchandising, or live events – the right candidate may not have direct experience of all areas, but will be able to adapt and turn their hand to every opportunity that the Students’ Union is working on currently and may develop in the future.We pride ourselves on being a compassionate employer that takes staff wellbeing seriously. Please note that we are based in the Portland Building on Leeds Beckett University's City Campus. This role is hybrid, with a mix of on-campus and remote working. Regular attendance on campus is essential for this role, especially during term times.
