Buildings and Maintenance Administrator (Financial)
Sidney Sussex College is seeking to appoint a Buildings and Maintenance Administrator (Financial) to work within the Maintenance Department. This post will report to the Head of Buildings and Maintenance and will help to ensure the highest possible standard of maintenance is provided throughout the College buildings and outlaying hostels.
The role holder will play an integral part in the delivery of financial processes within the Department, assisting in managing and maintaining financial budgets. To assist the Head of Buildings and Maintenance with ordering supplies and to facilitate communication within the department and between it and the College community.
Other duties will include, arranging work with 3rd parties, liaising with the College’s surveyors and external stakeholders, data and files up to date. Experience in managing financial tracking of purchases and contractor invoices, including raising purchase orders for services and works completed by 3rd parties. collating to financial information for the Head of Buildings and Maintenance. Checking of invoices against purchase orders for approval by the Head of Buildings and Maintenance, being proficient in Microsoft Excel will be essential to the role.
The post holder will work 22.5 hours per week. The salary is based between points 16-21 on the Sidney Sussex salary spine, currently equating between £28,498 – £29,643 pro rata per annum, depending on experience. Salary progression within this range is discretionary.
The working hours will generally be Monday to Friday 10.00 – 15.00 (half hour unpaid lunch break).
This post would suit a pro-active, organised individual with a strong work ethic. Experience of professional administration in an educational or hotel establishment would be useful to the role but training will be provided.
