The College is looking for a Building Maintenance Administrator/Maintenance Operative to co-ordinate and support the delivery of the cyclical and planned preventative maintenance of the College. The duties will involve maintaining an organised and efficient office-based system for managing maintenance requests, ensuring work is accurately logged, prioritised and scheduled appropriately. They will maintain Health and Safety records and compliance documentation in line with College policy. They will support the wider Estates and Maintenance team with administrative duties, reporting and record-keeping.

The postholder should also have a good knowledge of general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing and general repairs. They should be skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

The post is full time - 40 hours per week, split initially as 3 days administrative work and 2 days maintenance operative. The College offers 29 days annual leave per annum, 5 of which are to be taken in the Christmas closure, plus Bank Holidays. Membership of the staff contributory pension scheme, uniform and free lunch when working and the kitchen is open, also form part of the package.
