Introduction
The Trustees (Brigade Executive) are now seeking to appoint new Vice -Presidents, and believe it’s important that the recruitment process is open and transparent .
This job pack provides information on the role of Vice -President and the kind of qualities and attributes we think are important.
Jesus’ example of ‘Servant Leadership’ provides us all with a powerful example of what it means to lead in the service of others with love and compassion.
Whilst washing others feet isn’t mentioned in the role description, the ability to humbly serve through inspiring and encouraging others will certainly be important.
Vice -Presidents will work together with the Trustees and the organisation’s S enior S taff, and will primarily focus on engaging with our volunteer leaders across the country.
This will of course involve listening to and understanding a variety of views and experiences, whilst also being able to confidently share the story of the organisation’s national strategy/priorities.
The Vice -President role is an incredibly important and rewarding one but also it’s fair to say it’s a demanding one as well.
If you are interested in the challenge, we look forward to receiving your application.
Wishing you every blessing,
Ian Rumbelow
