Role Overview

The Role
We are looking for a Brand Communications Officer (Creative & Graphic Design) who can bring our communications to life visually and ensure our brand is consistently represented across all internal and external channels.
You will be part of the Group Marketing & Communications Team, reporting to the Group Marketing & Communications Lead, and working closely with the Digital Marketing Communications Officer and Marketing Apprentice to deliver high-quality visuals for campaigns and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality visual communications and assets using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Create engaging collateral for internal and external campaigns, including reports, presentations, print materials and campaign assets
- Develop and design accessible communications, including Easy Read materials, ensuring content is clear, inclusive and suitable for a wide range of audiences
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications are aligned to brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity
- Support the delivery of internal communications by designing clear, engaging and accessible materials
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Communications Officer to ensure consistency across digital and offline assets
- Collaborate with the Marketing Apprentice to support campaign delivery and ensure assets created are suitable across channels
- Contribute to the development of creative concepts and help bring campaigns to life visually
- Ensure all assets are on brand, high quality, and ready for final approval by the Group Marketing & Communications Lead
- Support the organisation and maintenance of assets within the DAM system (Canva) Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Ability to confidently interpret and translate creative briefs into effective visual outcomes
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Proven ability to design high-quality visual content across a range of formats (print and digital)
- Strong understanding of brand consistency and visual identity
- Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into effective creative outputs
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable
- Experience creating accessible communications, including Easy Read formats
- Understanding of inclusive design principles and how to communicate with diverse audiences
- Experience using Canva or similar DAM systems
- Experience working within a purpose-led or care-based organisation

Recruitment process
Our recruitment process will take place in the following stages:
1. Video screening All shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a short video screening. This replaces a telephone screening call and helps us understand your motivation, communication style, and suitability for the role.
2. First stage interview If successful at video screening, you will be invited to a first stage interview. This will take place either via Microsoft Teams or in person and will focus on getting to know you, your experience, and how you work with others.
3. Final stage interview Candidates who progress from the first stage interview will be invited to a final stage interview, which will take place in person.
