About the role

Job Title: Box Office Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Tuesday – Saturday
Salary: £27,476

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Box Office Manager is responsible for delivering excellent
customer service to patrons in person, by phone, or by email.

The Box Office Manager motivates the Box Office Assistants to deliver a high standard of
customer care and to meet donation and upselling targets.

Lead a friendly, knowledgeable patron-focused Box Office Assistant team.

Model exceptional customer care whilst handling enquiries, queries,
complaints and handling special booking requests.

Ensure that Box Office rota levels are in line with the business needs
to maximise the potential of all areas.

Check monthly timesheets & submit Box Office wage input sheets
to Finance Department.

Hire, train and supervise Box Office Assistants to ensure high quality
customer service. Monitor their performance and where necessary offer
additional support or take appropriate action.

Organise floats and complete end of day banking reports.

Support the Box Office Assistants to upsell ticket protection, gift vouchers,
membership or merchandise.

Be an access champion in the organisation, dedicated to ensuring that
the needs of customers with disabilities are met wherever possible.

Provide regular customer feedback in weekly staff meetings.

In Head of Sales absence put events on sale & liaise with ticket agents.

Attend season launch meetings to learn about the artistic programme.

Manage schools, youth groups and large group bookings from initial query,
securing deposits to hastening balances.

Administrate new Harrogate Youth Theatre members onto Spektrix
and hasten those on waiting lists or with outstanding payments.

Manage membership subscriptions and renewals.

Motivate the Box Office team to achieve stretching donation targets.

Provide a warm welcome to visiting artists and guests when they report
to Box Office on arrival.

Oversee the setting up of the Box Office at the Royal Hall and Harrogate
Convention Centre, Wesley Chapel or other community venues wherever
required.

Monitor the upkeep of the Box Office equipment both on site
and in our community venues.

Authorise holiday/sick pay for Box Office Assistants.

Undertake annual appraisals of the team.

Please note that this role is primarily based at Harrogate Theatre with occasionally
working at Royal Hall, Harrogate Convention Centre or other local community spaces.
Due to the nature of the role working from home is not possible.
