The Role

Arnolfini Gallery is looking for a Bookshop Assistant to join our busy team, providing a welcoming, safe and accessible service, delivering excellent customer service and retail assistance to all visitors.

Who are we looking for?

You will be the first point of contact for customers to the Bookshop, providing a warm welcome and
excellent customer service to visitors.
The post holder will possess a good knowledge of the books and products available in the bookshop
and ensure the smooth transaction of sales and accurate stock maintenance.
You will also have an interest in contemporary art or cultural organisations.

Bookshop Assistant

Working Hours: As one of 3 Bookshop Assistants, the postholder will be expected to work 2 out of every 3 weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours each day) and a Friday shift (8 Hours) on the other week.
Flexibility will be required to provide holiday cover annually and to cover occasional unplanned leave
and sickness.Contract: PermanentSalary: £26,436.80 per annum (paid on a pro-rata basis) £12.71 per hour.
