Board Members – North Yorkshire and York Music Hub Strategic Oversight Board

Do you believe in the power of music to inspire, include and empower children and young people? We’re looking for board members to help lead the North Yorkshire and York Music Hub and strengthen music opportunities for all.

Term: Fixed term (typically 3 years)
Time commitment: Four face to face board meetings per academic year plus preparation

North Yorkshire & York Music Hub are seeking board members to support the governance, strategic development and oversight of the new regional Music Hub established in September 2024.

These voluntary roles offer the chance to shape music education across one of the largest and most diverse regions in England, ensuring children and young people can access high quality and inclusive musical opportunities.

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • have a genuine passion for music education and improving outcomes for children and young people across
  • are able to provide constructive challenge and support effective oversight
  • who will actively contribute to Board discussions and decision‑making
  • are inclusive and collaborative thinkers who value equity, access, and participation
