ABOUT TREE AID

33

Tree Aid harnesses the power of trees so both
people and the planet can thrive. We create
sustainable ways for communities to grow food,
earn incomes and restore ecosystems.

We work hand in hand with people across Africa,
guided by their knowledge, priorities, and vision for
the future. We believe that local leadership and
collaboration are at the heart of lasting change.

Together with communities, we’re building a future
where land and life grow stronger together.

We grow trees that nourish families year

trees that provide reliable, nutritious fruit,
nuts, and leaves —ensuring a stable supply of
food, even when other crops fail.

WHERE
WE WORK

We work across the drylands of Africa, in
Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Niger
and Senegal, where the climate crisis is
shrinking fertile land and putting pressure
on the lives of more than 300 million people.

In these regions, trees are a lifeline. That’s why we
partner with local communities to grow millions of
them each year and to protect the land they depend
on. Every project is led by the people who know their
environment best, helping trees take root, supporting
lasting livelihoods and protecting vital ecosystems.
