Blog and Press Release Writer & Research and Liaison Administrator

The Contemporary Art Society for Wales (CASW), a charity supporting art and artists in Wales, is looking for two volunteers who would be prepared to help us with (1) publicity and (2) communication with museums and galleries in Wales to secure images from CASW's distributed collection.

Volunteer 1: Publicity

• Preparing and maintaining an approximately bi-monthly blog for CASW's website publicising recent and upcoming events (to be coordinated with person responsible for social media posts)
• Preparing approximately quarterly press releases

Skills

• Experience of blogging and, ideally, preparing press releases

This would suit an individual with some marketing experience and/or qualifications seeking to gain recognised experience with a national charity.

Volunteer 2: Communication with museums and galleries 

• Securing images for works from CASW's Distributed Collection for which CASW currently holds no image. Involves contacting relevant museums, galleries and institutions.
• Securing copyright for images where possible.

Skills

• Good communication and research skills, ideally in art history field.

This would suit an individual aiming to gain curating and/or gallery/museum experience.
