Race Council Cymru is recruiting a Black History Wales 365 Project Manager to support the delivery of our year-round programme of artistic, cultural and community activity across Wales.

Black History Wales 365 celebrates and promotes Black history, heritage, creativity and the contributions of Black communities throughout the year. The programme works with communities, artists, creatives, cultural organisations and regional partners across Wales to deliver meaningful artistic and cultural activity.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative Project Manager who will work alongside Regional Leaders across Wales to coordinate and support the delivery of the Black History Wales 365 artistic programme from September 2026.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the delivery of artistic and cultural activities across Wales
• Working closely with Regional Leaders, artists, creatives and community partners
• Supporting programme planning, scheduling and administration
• Coordinating communications between project partners and stakeholders
• Monitoring project activity, outputs and progress
• Supporting the collection of evaluation, participation and impact information
• Helping ensure activities are delivered effectively, inclusively and within agreed timescales
• Supporting the wider Race Council Cymru team with the successful delivery of Black History Wales 365

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in project management, arts and cultural programmes, community engagement, events or related fields.

An understanding of Wales’ diverse communities and a commitment to equality, representation and inclusive cultural practice would be particularly valuable.

Contract: September 2026 to end of August 2027Hours: 12 hours per weekRate: £15 per hourLocation: Wales, with work alongside Regional Leaders across the country
