The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Bishop’s Chaplain and Minor Canon of Newcastle Cathedral.

The Bishop of Newcastle seeks a prayerful, organised and theologically able priest to serve as Bishop’s Chaplain and Minor Canon of Newcastle Cathedral.

You will work closely with the Bishop, supporting her ministry by preparing services, providing research, liaising with communications and safeguarding teams, and enabling effective pastoral care for clergy. You will line manage the Bishop’s PA and help ensure the smooth running of the Bishop’s Office. This is a varied, demanding and rewarding role offering scope for personal growth within a vibrant, inclusive diocese committed to mission, justice and clergy wellbeing.
