The health centre provides a high standard of health care and welfare support for our Day and Boarding students aged 13-18yrs. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team starting 1 September 2026. The role includes management of minor injuries and illness, health promotion, student emotional support and any other health advice such as sexual health, immunisations and assisting with GP clinics.

Experience & Background

Ideally you will be a registered nurse either on part 8 or 15 of the NMC register with relevant post registration experience. Knowledge and experience of the care of adolescents is essential. A&E, mental health nursing or school nursing experience is particularly desirable. Paramedic experience would also be considered.

Hours of Work

This post is for 19 hours per week, working term time for 33 weeks of the year. There is also a requirement to work one additional week during school holidays. The work pattern in term time is as follows:

  • Tuesday: 08:00 – 14:00 (inclusive of 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
  • Wednesday: 13:00 – 18:00
  • Friday: 09:00 – 18.00 (inclusive of 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

There may be potential to cover additional hours including weekends, which attracts extra payment.

Salary

Up to £16,126 per annum based on the above hours and weeks of work which is pro-rata of the full time equivalent salary of up to £43,048 per annum.

Pre-Appointment Checks
