Beauty Therapy Project Worker 2
Barnardo's have delivered a range of vocational and pre-vocational programmes to young people for over 30 years. These have included Apprenticeships. We are aiming to increase Apprenticeship opportunities with local employers in a range of sectors from our delivery sites in Midlands, Yorkshire and the Northeast. To support this initiative, we are seeking to appoint a Beauty Therapy Project Worker to work within our North East Site.

Service Information
Employment Training and Skills North has been supporting 16 to 25 year old young people for over 30 years. The main service is now based in North Shields where we deliver a Study Programme to 16 to 19 year olds.
As well as the above we deliver Apprenticeships throughout the Northeast of England to both Barnardo's employees and external companies.
Job Purpose
To ensure delivery of learning programmes and apprenticeships that enable young people to access and gain a nationally recognised vocational qualification at level 1 – level 3.
To ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery through the maintenance and monitoring of individualised learning programmes.
Key Objectives
To offer relevant and appropriate vocational and pre-vocational learning to young people with a range of learning needs, in order to increase their confidence and employability.
To encourage, increase and assess competence and confidence in a vocational setting.
To ensure an achievement rate in line with 2026/2027 targets.
To ensure a progression rate in line with 2026/2027 targets.
Vocational/Education Profile
To liaise with employers and placement providers regarding learning opportunities available to learners and changes in standards.
To promote, through good practice, the reputation of Barnardo's in general and Employment Training and Skills North in particular.
Experience and knowledge
5 years' experience in a similar role working to, and achieving targets
Knowledge and experience of the apprenticeship and wider FE, education and skills market and commissioner Funding Rules
Knowledge & experience of DFE Funded Study Programmes
Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assessor Qualification
Skills and competencies
Hardworking, confident, target driven, self-motivated, and personable
Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to prioritise demanding workloads and attention to detail
