BAR TEAM MEMBER

THE LOUNGE, THE VENUE, BRUNEL ENGINE SHED, EXTERNAL VENUES AS REQUIRED

£14.24 per hour (including annual leave allowance)

 

As a Bar Team Member at Bucks Students’ Union, you will contribute to the effective operation of our bar and event spaces, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to students and guests.

Working as part of a busy and collaborative team, you will help ensure that The Venue operates efficiently while maintaining a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment. You will play an important role in representing the Students’ Union, demonstrating its values through your conduct and interactions with customers.

This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting, while contributing to a vibrant and sociable campus atmosphere.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience
• Prepare and serve drinks and food to a high standard
• Operate tills and handle transactions accurately
• Promote venue events, offers, and activities to customers
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented bar and public areas
• Assist with bar setup, displays, and merchandising
• Handle stock and equipment responsibly and securely
• Follow all procedures relating to hygiene, safety, and waste management, including recycling
• Record wastage in line with venue procedures
