BAR SUPERVISOR

THE LOUNGE, THE VENUE, BRUNEL ENGINE SHED, EXTERNAL VENUES AS REQUIRED

£15.13 per hour (including annual leave allowance)

 

As a Bar Supervisor at Bucks Students’ Union, you will support the effective operation of our bar and event spaces, ensuring a consistently high standard of service for students and guests.

Working as part of a busy and collaborative team, you will take on additional responsibility for overseeing shifts, supporting staff, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations within the Venue. You will contribute to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment, while representing the Students’ Union and its values in all interactions.

This role provides an opportunity to build leadership experience within a fast-paced hospitality setting, while playing a key role in delivering a vibrant and engaging campus experience.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience.
• Supervise and support bar staff during shifts to ensure efficient operations.
• Act as a first point of contact for customer and staff queries, resolving issues professionally.
• Prepare and serve drinks and food to a high standard.
• Operate tills and oversee accurate cash handling.
• Promote venue events, offers, and activities to customers.
• Assist with bar setup, displays, and merchandising.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented bar and public areas.
• Support cellar management and stock control, including deliveries and storage.
• Handle stock and equipment responsibly and securely.
• Record and monitor wastage in line with venue procedures.
• Ensure all hygiene, safety, and recycling procedures are followed
