Bank Support Worker
As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll be offering vital, flexible support to a small group of people who live in their own home and love spending time together. There are currently four wonderful people living at this service, each with their own unique personalities, interests, and support needs.
The people we support have learning disabilities, autism, and a range of physical or health-related needs, and you will receive full training in:
- Autism
- Learning disabilities
- Physical disability awareness
- Diabetes
- MAPA
- Medication and moving & positioning
The people you’ll support are fun-loving, kind, and sociable. They enjoy being active in the community and love doing things like:
- Bowling
- Shopping trips
- Visiting animal parks
- Eating out
- Trying new activities
- Listening to music, dancing, and home baking
- Exploring new places and returning to their favourites
- Spending time together in their home
They describe themselves as friendly, caring and respectful — and they hope to welcome support workers who are easy-going, calm, cheerful and understanding.
It’s a real advantage if you hold a full UK driving licence, as the service has access to a vehicle that staff use to help people get out and about.
As part of your interview, you’ll be invited to meet the people who live there — they are very welcoming and hope that once you meet them, you’ll feel excited to join the team.
As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll help with:
- Daily routines and personal care
- Medication
- Meal preparation
- Housework and shared home life
- Community access
- Building independence and confidence
- Supporting people to live the Best Life Possible
No two days are the same, and every shift is an opportunity to bring joy, reassurance and independence to someone’s life.
