We’re looking for experienced Catering Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated catering team, supporting both Strathcarron Hospice and the Papermill Café at the Bellfield Centre in Stirling.
About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll be part of a small, supportive kitchen team delivering high-quality food and service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing meals to meet the individual dietary needs of our patients
- Supporting food service for visitors to the Hospice and staff throughout the day
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Papermill Café, serving drinks, snacks, and light meals
- Supporting the preparation of daily meals for patients, staff, and visitors
- Supporting baking activities for the café’s offerings
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Helping to create a warm, respectful and compassionate environment for all
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are:
- Experienced in a catering or food service environment,ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting.
- Skilled in cooking and baking would be an advantage.
- Genuine interest in preparing fresh, nutritious food.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a range of shifts and across both the Hospice and the Papermill café to meet service needs and personal commitments.
- Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Committed to maintaining high standardsof hygiene and food safety.
- Willing to learn and grow.
- On the job training will be provided.
The post is subject to a check by the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
