Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are an independent, local charity that delivers mental health services across the whole of Tyneside and Northumberland. We exist to promote positive mental health, providing flexible, responsive and sustainable support serv ices to those in the Tyneside and Northumberland area. We offer a range of services, including counselling, a listening service, wellbeing groups and training based on the principals of wellbeing, recovery, resilience and prevention.

Our Leadership Te am
Our Leadership Team ensures the direction and strategy set by our Board of Trustees is implemented effectively for the benefit of the users of our services. The team is made up of forward thinking and dynamic group of professionals who between them have many years of experience in delivering mental health services, running charitable organisations, and working closely with both socially excluded groups and vulnerable people and communities.

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for our governance and strategic direction and is led by our Chair Lyn Simpson . Our Board is accountable for everything we do, including settling our strategic direction , evaluating our performance, and supporting and empowering our Leadership Team, staff and volunteers. We have 10 trustees on our Board, and they reflect our diverse communities .
The Mind Quality Ma rk
As part of the National Mind Network, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind (a local Mind) is assessed by a robust quality assurance framework created and set out by Mind called The Mind Quality Mark (MQM) . MQM sets out the baseline of best practice and legal compliance in all areas of a local Mind’s governance and activities. To achieve the MQM, a local Mind must meet or exceed all 24 key standards. We are proud th at Tyneside and Northumberland Mind has met and exceeded all standards.
About the ro le
Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are seeking experienced and engaging Associate/Contract Trainers to support the development and delivery of high - quality training programmes for organisations, businesses, public sector partners, and community groups.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a leading mental health charity, delivering impactful training that increases awareness, knowledge, and confidence around mental health, wellbeing, and related social issues. Trainers will be engaged on a f lexible, contract basis to deliver a range of learning programmes, both online and face -to -face, to diverse audiences across the region and beyond.
Working collaboratively with the Training Team, you will deliver professional, evidence -informed training sessions that support organisations to develop healthier, more inclusive, and supportive workplace and community environments.
Opportunities may include delivering existing accredited and non -accredited courses, as well as contributing to the development and adaptation of training materials to meet client needs.
We are particularly interested in hearing from trainers with expertise across a range of mental health and wellbeing themes, including (but not limited to):
• Mental health awareness
• Mental Health First Aid
• Workplace wellbeing
• Stress management and emotional resilience
• Suicide awareness and prevention
• Self -harm awareness
• Trauma -informed practice
• Neurodiversity awareness
• Young people's mental health
• Equality, diversity and inclusion
• Supporting others' mental health and wellbeing
• Community wellbeing and social impact
About You
You will be an experienced trainer, facilitator, or learning and development professional with a proven track record of designing and/or delivering training programmes to a variety of audiences.
You will be able to demonstrate expertise in one or more mental health, wellbeing, health, social care, community, education, or workplace -related subject areas, alongside excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
As a self -employed contract trainer, you will typically be able to provide:

A recognised training, teaching, coaching, facilitation, or learning and development qualification (or equivalent demonstrable experience).

Relevant subject matter expertise and experience within your area(s) of delivery.

Evidence of appropriate Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

A current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one where required for specific training assignments).

Up -to -date safeguarding knowledge where relevant to the training being delivered.

The ability to deliver engaging training both in -person and online using a variety of learning methods and digital platforms.

High -quality training materials and resources, where appropriate, or the ability to deliver from materials provided by Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage assignments independently and professionally.

Individuals with experience in mental health, wellbeing, social care, education, community services, workplace engagement, or organisational de velopment are particularly encouraged to apply.
