Fixed Term Contract

Location: Horsham  

Salary: £27,485 per annum FTE (£16,491 per annum pro rata)      

Hours: 22.5hrs per week

MAIN PURPOSE:     

 

To assist the collation and analysis of clinical and outcome measurement data from Brainkind services nationwide and to develop group resource materials for use with adults with acquired brain injury or other neurological conditions. To support a range of relevant clinical initiatives and research projects with a view to publication.

 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • To collate and analyse clinical and outcome data from all Brainkind services and to utilise this data to produce high quality internal and external reports.
  • To assist the Clinical Director and clinical services team in conducting clinical audit and evaluation of Brainkind services.
  • To develop project materials (including multimedia) for use in service development projects.
  • To support the development of manuals and other resource materials (including multimedia) for use in the rehabilitation and support of adults with acquired brain injury or other neurological conditions.
  • To edit resource materials and present them in accessible form.
  • To support and facilitate research and innovation within Brainkind and the sharing of new approaches to rehabilitation and support.
  • To assist with the research design, literature review, participant recruitment, and assessment, data entry and analysis and preparation of manuscripts for publication in a range of projects.

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • Upper second class or first class honours degree in psychology
  • Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods
  • Experience in designing evaluation or research projects
  • Experience of designing and handling databases
  • Experience of using software for data analysis and visually presenting data (e. g. Excel, SPSS, R)
  • High level of communication skills (written and verbal)
  • An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with neurological conditions and disabilities, and the ability to interact with people with these needs
  • Ability to manage multiple demands to meet agreed deadlines.
