Assistant Keeper of the Old Library

Jesus College is looking to appoint an part-time Assistant Keeper of the Old Library for 22 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the Old Library, retrospective cataloguing of the Old Library’s printed books and manuscripts and dealing with enquiries and visiting researchers.

The postholder will also be responsible for the handling of any conservation issues involving the Old Library’s collections and assisting with the security and maintenance of the Old Library and its collections. The successful candidate will be familiar with Alma / iDiscover and have some experience in supervising and helping others including running tours of the Old Library.
