The King’s School, Canterbury is seeking to appoint a committed and organised Assistant Catering Manager to support the delivery of high-quality catering services within our busy school kitchens.

Working closely with the Director of Catering and Deputy Head of Catering, the postholder will help oversee the day-to-day operation of catering services across the Precincts. This includes supporting the planning and delivery of nutritious and appealing meals for pupils, staff and visitors, as well as assisting with internal functions and external events.

The role involves assisting with stock control, food safety compliance, staff supervision, rota planning and maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, hygiene and presentation. You will also play an important role in supporting the catering team, helping to ensure staff are well trained, motivated and working efficiently.

This is a varied and hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. Previous experience within a catering or hospitality setting, ideally with supervisory responsibilities, would be advantageous.
