As and When Project Worker 1
An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Lanarkshire to be part of our Axis North Team. The service provides support to young people impacted by their own or someone else's drug and or alcohol use. We are currently recruiting As and When staff to join our team.
Successful candidates may be asked to provide between 8 and 12 hours of support per week depending on the needs of the service. Working as part of team you will work with young people on a 1:1 basis and support other staff in facilitating groups.
Referrals may be received from anywhere in North Lanarkshire including self-referrals and referrals from family members. The service operates 7 days a week. Evening and weekend work is core to the provision. You should be highly motivated, enthusiastic individual.
You will have some experience of working with young people and have an awareness of the issues facing children and families impacted by drugs and or alcohol.
Those applying for the post must have a good understanding of the Promise framework, UNCRC legislation and safeguarding procedures, demonstrating how these will be applied in practice.
This post may suit individuals who are at university, looking to gain experience in this field or looking to get back in to the workforce.
You must have the flexibility to work a rota which includes evenings and weekends and hold a valid driving license with access to own transport for the purposes of work.
