About the role

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Variable Hours Art Technician to join our team in The Art and Design department.

Supporting all areas of our busy department, assisting the Art Technician Team Leader as part of the expressive arts technical support team.

The visual art department, known as the Richmond Art School, has contemporary, purpose-built art and design facilities, and provides a wide range of qualification and non-accredited courses from beginner to advanced level. These include Ceramics, Painting, Jewellery, Sculpture, Glass, Woodwork, Print, Fashion and more!

Reporting to the Art Technician Team Leader, you will actively organise a high-quality, responsive service which enables learners to explore the arts and meet their life and work goals. Alongside helping with sales activities in our Gallery shop and materials sales in the Art Shop.

The individual will have experience and knowledge of specialist technical and maintenance support for curriculum delivery.

Duties will be carried out with due regard for Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk Assessment policies and procedures.
