The Bishop of Manchester is looking to appoint a committed and collaborative priest as Archdeacon of Salford & Bolton.
As members of the Bishop’s Leadership Team, our three Archdeacons play a key role in leading and supporting our parishes and mission communities at an exciting time of change.
The successful candidate will be creative in encouraging new forms of mission and ministry while working to ensure the wellbeing of our clergy and lay leaders. They will have a good understanding of fruitful approaches to developing and growing the Church, as well as being experienced in ministerial life.
The Archdeacon of Salford & Bolton needs to be generous in working with a breadth of traditions and spirituality in the Church of England. Ideally, they will have worked in deprived communities and must be committed to diversity, inclusion and racial justice.
