Join one of the UK's leading archaeology organisations and work on some of the country's most exciting archaeological projects.

MOLA is a highly experienced and innovative archaeology practice, and one of the leading voices in the profession. Our expert commercial services support clients in delivering sustainable development, and we conduct highly significant research both as part of the development process and independently within our own research framework. As an education charity our aim is to inspire people to be curious about their heritage, and we set out to share our knowledge and expertise with the widest audience possible.

We are looking for people to join us who are passionate about delivering high-quality heritage services and using archaeology as a force for good to benefit society.

ABOUT THE ROLE

MOLA is continuing to grow at a fast pace, and we are looking to recruit hard-working and enthusiastic Archaeologists to join our London team. We are committed to mentoring and training staff at all levels to develop individual capabilities and enhance career prospects, with opportunities for internal progression and promotion, as well as developing specialist skills.

The role primarily involves excavating and recording archaeology from a range of periods across a variety of sites and project types, in line with MOLA procedures. The job role is likely to require frequent work away from home on projects outside of London.

We are looking for people with:

  • Experience using, or knowledge of archaeological recording systems
  • Experience of archaeological fieldwork, especially on commercial projects would be an advantage if that experience includes urban sites
  • Good organisational, communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to creating a safe, positive and inclusive work environment

Offers will be made to suitable candidates before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged!
