Apprentice Greenkeeper

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Carnoustie Golf Links, as an Apprentice Greenkeeper at our prestigious golf course. No experience is required, as full training will be given from our experienced Greenkeepers, as well as our dedicated Workforce Development Lead.

This role is an apprentice position on a 4-year programme. During this time, the successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. For this role, online college attendance is required, which will be conducted at work where possible, with self-study also required.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship will provide the individual with a Level 2 SVQ in Sports Turf and invaluable experience from a world-renowned, 8-time Open venue golf course, winner of ‘Best Golf Course in Scotland over £250’ in 2025 and ‘Best Golf Course in the World’ in 2019.

This is an exciting opportunity, perfect for a school leaver who is pursuing a career in Greenkeeping. As such, the start date for this position is proposed as 1st June 2026.
