This vacancy is for an Apprentice Dental Nurse based in Nelson
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience dealing internal and external customers with whilst gaining on the job qualifications
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a rewarding career in dentistry while working towards a recognised Dental Nurse apprenticeship qualification.
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will receive on-the-job training and support while learning the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified dental nurse. You will work alongside experienced dental professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain dental treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.

Assist the dentist during a range of dental procedures by providing instruments and materials as required.

Ensure patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.

Clean, sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in line with infection prevention and control procedures.

Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical information where appropriate.

Book appointments and support reception duties when required.

Stock and organise dental materials and supplies.

Follow all health and safety, confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

Complete all apprenticeship training, assignments and assessments within the required timescales.
You will gain a recognised Dental Nurse apprenticeship qualification. Full training and support from experienced dental professionals. Hands-on experience in a busy dental practice.
Training to be provided

Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.

The practice was originally established circa 1985 and has been a well established NHS practice since then. The current principle acquired the practice in 2005 and along with his team is committed to the provision of high quality NHS dentistry in a friendly, relaxing environment. The practice consists of 5 surgeries, central sterilisation, fully computerised, and digital X-rays.
