About Clean Air Fund
Clean Air Fund is a global philanthropic initiative working with governments, funders, businesses and campaigners to deliver clean air for all as fast as possible. You would be joining an ambitious and fast‑growing organisation operating at the heart of efforts to improve public health, address inequality and support climate action.
The role
In the role of Analyst, you will help to deliver Clean Air Fund’s mission through high‑quality analytical, project and grant management support across our South Africa country programme and cities portfolio.
The role includes:
- Supporting the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of philanthropic initiatives and programmes
- Managing and administering grants and projects end‑to‑end, from concept development through to reporting and learning
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with grantees, partners and key stakeholders
- Contributing to research, analysis and strategy development, including preparing briefing materials, reports and funding proposals
- Working closely with internal teams including Finance, MEL, Communications and Programme colleagues in a matrix working environment
The post holder will manage their own workload across multiple projects, working with guidance from task managers while maintaining high standards of delivery, organisation and communication.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in project or grant management, ideally within an international NGO or philanthropic organisation
- Relevant experience in environmental, health, air quality or climate‑related work
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong drafting and communication skills
- The ability to manage a busy workload, work at pace and collaborate effectively across teams
Experience working in South Africa or similar contexts, and familiarity with air quality, data, evaluation or policy work, would be an advantage.
