Lambourn Equine Vets are seeking an Ambulatory Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our expanding team. A recent surge in demand — and further opportunities on the horizon — means we’re ready to welcome a capable, self‑aware vet who enjoys working independently but thrives as part of a supportive, experienced team.

We are a busy, independent ambulatory practice based in Lambourn, Berkshire, caring for horses from foals to elite athletes. Our caseload spans Racing, FEI and National competition, World Class programmes, and a loyal base of sport and leisure clients.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has 2–4 years’ equine experience and confidence in core ambulatory skills

Understands performance horse management both at home and at competition

Communicates well, stays grounded, and enjoys being part of a team

Wants to keep learning and developing, with plenty of support available

Brings a sense of humour and a positive, can‑do attitude

We offer a collaborative environment, strong office support, vet tech assistance, excellent CPD (including ISELP support where appropriate), and a package tailored to experience. Working days and rota are flexible for the right candidate.
