Registered charity number: 306983Job Role InformationAn opportunity has emerged to join our Junior School team, working as an After School Care Supervisor.In this role, responsible to the Headteacher, you will jointly supervise a group of pupils, aged 7-11, withanother member of staff after the school day has finished.You will need to have some experience of working with children and a calm and positive outlook to besuccessful in this role.Redmaids’ High is an inclusive environment, and we continue to take steps to enhance and improve ourdiversity and equality of opportunities. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.Job Details and RemunerationHours: 4.00pm to 6.00pm, part-time (5 days per week, however, job-share would be considered), term-time only, plus INSET if applicable, paid on an overtime basis. Friday night is an exception: DVD night.The ASC Supervisor serves a small snack and drink.Girls then join another activity run by the ASC Supervisor.When parents collect their children, the supervisor notes the collection on the register.At 5:30pm the remaining girls will go to the library after tidying the classrooms with the supervisorand turning the lights out. When the last child has gone, the ASC Supervisor ensures that the non-fiction library is tidy, checksthat lights are switched off and the building is then locked by the caretaker.If a child is injured and needs medical attention, the ASC Supervisor is to send for a first aider asthey will be supervising the other pupils. It would be desirable if the ASC supervisor were alsotrained in First Aid so that they can respond before help arrives.The ASC Supervisor must safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils in and visiting the school,in line with the School’s Safeguarding policy and other related policies.You will be required to carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role, asrequested by the Headteacher.You will need to understand the responsibilities in relation to handling personal data under theData Protection Act 2018, in line with the School’s Data Protection policy.
