This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to become an Advocate in our Plymouth Advocacy Service.
Thank you for your interest in this role with Barnardo's which will involve the following.
- Deliver face to face advocacy to children and young people aged 3-18
- Represent the child in meetings about them either in person or virtually
- Supervising a volunteer advocate

A car driver is essential for the nature of this role
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience working with children and young people in a professional setting.
- Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and children's rights.
- Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of children and young people.
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and child-centred practice.
