  • Hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

  • Term: This post is initially for a fixed term to 31stMarch 2027
  • Salary: £30,743 pro rata per annum. Training rate for this role is £27,111 pro rata per annum. Trainee rate will be applicable until training is passed and competence in the role is reached

Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding (CAHER) is a busy, progressive, and dynamic service serving a city and a large rural county. CAHER work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.

The energy adviser role involves collaborating with colleagues delivering front-line advice services directly to the public and supporting the Advice Session Supervisor to manage the day-to-day delivery of our busy ‘Energy’ specialist advice service. The service aim is to support vulnerable households by providing energy advice that has a lasting positive change to the way individuals manage their energy usage, bills and adopt low-carbon technologies, supporting them to maximise their income, lower their utility bills and increasing their capacity to manage their household finances.

You will work in collaboration within a diverse team to ensure that we provide a high-quality customer service from a number of offices and outreaches. In this role you will offer advice via varied service channels including face to face, telephone, outreach, video and digital and via workshops.

We are looking for commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility and great time management skills and the willingness to learn.

There is an expectation that you will work a minimum of 60% of your time from a CAHER office and for a higher percentage if service delivery requires it.

There is an expectation that you may need to travel between CAHER offices.
