About the opportunity: shaping the future of the applicant journey
Are you ready to lead a newly formed team in one of London’s most vibrant and diverse educational settings?
Morley College London is seeking a dynamic Admissions Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role. This isn't just a management position; it’s an opportunity to design and streamline the end-to-end student experience, from the first spark of interest to the moment of enrolment.
You will join a forward-thinking team where frontline admissions services meet marketing and communications functions. Together, we are creating superlative customer journeys for a community of learners ranging from ages 15 to 90+.
Morley’s X factor
Morley occupies a truly distinctive space in the London education landscape. While many colleges focus on specific niches, Morley offers a blend of provision that is arguably unique in the capital: 16-18 year olds continuing their education, adults seeking accredited or Higher Education (HE) qualifications, lifelong learners enjoying short, self-funded courses, and adults returning to learning to improve their Essential Skills.
As such, you will oversee the admissions architecture for everything from community-based short courses to complex HE and FE funding streams.
As a specialist institution with multiple iconic sites across London, we offer a creative and supportive environment that general FE colleges rarely match.
Your role
As the Admissions Manager, you will report to the Vice Principal: Engagement and Growth. Your mission is to lead a multi-site team including specialised frontline staff and student finance specialists, and to deliver a responsive, commercially-minded service.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:Manage and coach your team to ensure high performance and consistent service standards across all college centres.
- Journey Design:Streamline frontline processes and shape the operational direction of enquiry handling and admissions to ensure a seamless transition from applicant to student.
- Financial Oversight:Manage the student element of Advanced and Higher Learning Loans, maximising college income while supporting students in need.
- Collaboration:Work closely with Marketing, IT, and Curriculum teams to ensure admissions activity is perfectly integrated with promotional efforts.
About you
We are looking for an expert in admissions with a "big picture" mindset and the following:
- Education:A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
- Leadership:Proven experience leading student-facing or customer-focused teams.
- Technical expertise:A deep understanding of Student Loans and FE/HE funding, alongside excellent IT and MIS database skills.
- Compliance:A clear understanding of Safeguarding and Prevent.
Experience in systems and process design or a Level 3 qualification in Advice and Guidance would be highly advantageous.
If you are a proactive leader with a passion for designing outstanding customer journeys and are excited by the prospect of building a high-performing team at a storied London institution, we want to hear from you.
