We’re looking for an Administrator to support our Local School Nature Grants programme, providing vital administrative support to schools, stakeholders and colleagues involved in delivering this exciting nature-focused project.

- Hours: 20 hrs per week, worked over 3/4 days (term time only)
- Contract: Fixed-term contract to end July 2027

We are looking for an Administrator to join our friendly team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. Working 20 hours per week over 3–4 days during term time only, this role can be based from either our Eastleigh or Stirling office, with home working available.
As Administrator for our Local School Nature Grants programme, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider team. You will be the first point of contact for schools, suppliers and stakeholders, helping to ensure an excellent experience for grant recipients while maintaining accurate records and supporting project delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to phone and email enquiries relating to the project
- Assisting with the management of LSNG mailboxes
- Supporting enquiries from network members and suppliers
- Ordering and managing stock of catalogue items
- Assisting with the processing of purchase orders and invoices
- Booking travel and accommodation for delivery team members
- Assisting with the packaging and posting of grant orders
- Managing correspondence with participating schools
- Maintaining and updating project records
- Assisting with application scoring and providing administrative support to trainers as required
You will need:
- Previous experience providing administrative support, ideally in an office environment
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience planning and managing your own workload
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and the ability to obtain a clear DBS or PVG check
