This role is based at our Swadlincote office (on Rinkway Industrial Estate), which has parking to the front of the building and good public transport links.
About you
This Admin Receptionist role requires a combination of strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills to support both staff and service users effectively. Working within our recovery-focused service means successful applicants must be able to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and discretion when dealing with individuals who may be accessing support services. Key qualities include excellent administrative ability, such as managing appointments, handling confidential records, and maintaining accurate databases, alongside strong customer service skills to provide a welcoming and supportive first point of contact. Effective time management, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment are also essential. In addition, good teamwork, reliability, and a compassionate approach help ensure the smooth running of reception services while supporting the organisation’s mission to help people overcome drug and alcohol issues.
Key skills for the Health and Safety White Hat element of the role include strong organisational and record-keeping abilities, attention to detail when monitoring documentation and risk assessments, and effective communication to relay safety updates and guidance to staff. The role also requires problem-solving skills to identify potential hazards, basic knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, and the ability to coordinate incident reporting, safety audits, and training records. Proficiency in office software and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and management are also essential to support overall safety compliance and administrative efficiency.
