The RSA is the home of creativity, turning possibility into progress since 1754. From pioneering invention and design to shaping social change, we are a place for action and connection, where people drive real change. And today this matters more than ever.

We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join the Chief Executive’s Office, supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO and helping ensure the smooth, effective running of one of the most visible and influential parts of the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the RSA. You’ll gain insight into executive-level decision-making, work closely with senior leaders, Trustees and Fellows, and play a key role in enabling the CEO’s priorities. It’s a fast-paced, varied role that offers excellent exposure across the organisation and beyond.

If you’re highly organised, proactive, discreet, and excited by the idea of contributing to social impact from behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Provide high-quality day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Assistant to the CEO.
  • Support CEO travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics.
  • Help prepare for executive meetings, including room bookings, materials, and catering.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and expense claims.
  • Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for CEO guests.
  • Support the planning and delivery of key internal and external events, including Board meetings, staff away days, and RSA public events.
  • Conduct research and light competitor analysis on relevant membership organisations, summarising insights to inform decision-making.
  • Support the creation, scheduling, and tracking of LinkedIn content for the CEO.
  • Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including Board members, senior colleagues, Fellows, and external partners.
  • Provide ad hoc and occasional out-of-hours support during busy periods.

This is a part-time, office-based role (Monday–Thursday, 9am–5pm) based in London. This role is a Fixed-Term Contract for 1 year.

Who you are

  • Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with excellent judgement and discretion.
  • Confident working in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities.
  • Personable and comfortable engaging with senior and high-profile stakeholders.
  • Values-driven, inclusive, and committed to social impact.

Your key experience

  • Educated to A level or equivalent, or with relevant administrative experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Confident using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Experience using social media professionally, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Demonstrable administrative and organisational experience.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or C-suite roles (or transferable experience in a similar context) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role is an excellent foundation for anyone interested in governance, executive support, leadership, or a career in the social impact or membership sector.

Applications close on the 27 February.

We will review applications and conduct interviews on a rolling basis, so we may close the vacancy early. Early applications are encouraged.

Inclusion at the RSA

As a social change organisation, we believe everyone, regardless of visible or invisible difference should feel welcomed and able to contribute to creating a better future. You can read our full inclusion statement on our website.

Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process.
