About St Elizabeth’s
Set within 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth’s Centre is a national charity that provides life-changing education, care, and health services for children, young people and adults with epilepsy and other complex needs.
Our mission is simple: to help people live life to the full – and that includes our staff. We’re a values-driven organisation that is aspirational, collaborative, joyful, and compassionate, and we believe that every team member plays a vital part in the lives we support.
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, personable and highly organised Administration Officer to join our Adult Learning team in the Community Hub.
This is a key front-facing role supporting the day-to-day operation of the Hub – a busy, welcoming environment where no two days are quite the same.
You’ll be the first point of contact for families, colleagues, and visitors, providing high-quality administrative and front-of-house support. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, juggle tasks and communicate clearly will be essential.
What you’ll do:
- Provide efficient and professional admin support to the Adult Learning Team
- Greet visitors and respond to enquiries with warmth, clarity and professionalism
- Manage meeting arrangements, take minutes and circulate documentation
- Maintain accurate internal systems, files and records
- Liaise confidently with staff across departments and external stakeholders
- Ensure the Hub runs smoothly and stays organised day-to-day
About You
You’re a natural problem-solver who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in being reliable, approachable and efficient.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a busy administrative or front-desk role
- Strong IT skills – confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to day-to-day challenges
- Confident communicator with a professional and friendly attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- A driving licence is desirable due to our rural location
