Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Administration Officer will provide essential administrative support across a range of functions to help North East Counselling Services run effectively and ensure counsellors can focus on delivering high-quality services.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will:
- To ensure, the timely and accurate allocation of all newly referred and self-referred clients, to suitable NECS employed, associate or probationer counsellors, in line with NECS’ allocation policies and procedures.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the management team.
- Support HR, finance, communications, and business processes.
- Assist with reception duties, greeting clients, booking appointments and handling enquiries (in person, by phone, and online).
- Maintain accurate records on our internal systems (including Counsel360).
- Support counsellors with room bookings, data input, and general admin needs.
- Help ensure the premises are well-maintained and welcoming.
- Provide secretarial support for meetings when required.
- Supporting other administration staff and activities across the business, as required, to ensure an effective, efficient and timely service.
